A leading charter school system is seeking a Math TEACHER to teach 6th-8th grades  located in Cincinnati, OH.
They partner with community groups to build and operate public charter schools.  Founded in 1995, today they partner with 80 K-8 schools in 9 states serving over 50,000 students.  They are one of the largest charter school management organizations designed to eliminate achievement gaps and prepare our students for success in high school, college and beyond.

School Leadership:  You will be supported by a cohesive leadership team.  Our deans avail themselves to provide teachers assistance with lesson plans, classroom management, professional development and instruction, which is done on a weekly basis.
School Culture:  You may work independently in your classroom, but are a part of a grade level team that meets weekly to discuss lesson planning and ensure that the students are achieving their learning objectives.  The school provides a safe and secure environment for the students and staff alike, thus creating a real community feel that parents are a part of on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
Teachers are responsible for planning, developing and presenting organized learning opportunities for students in accordance with approved curriculum and Common Core standards at the assigned grade level. The teacher will prepare lesson plans, use data driven instruction to gauge student learning, maintain a welcoming, safe and attractive classroom environment, and establish high standards of student behavior.

Accountabilities
Teachers will be held accountable for the student achievement and growth in their classroom, establishing relationships with both students and parents, and participating in all aspects of class and school planning. Candidates must be reliable and punctual in order to provide continuity and stability in the classroom.  Also, we desire candidates who demonstrate moral focus and personal values to students in everyday settings. Successful candidates will be self-starters with effective classroom management skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for education.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold a valid teaching license issued by the STATE of Ohio.
Prefer candidates that have experience working with at-risk students in an urban environment.
